Update on Tulong Villar Relief Assistance
Relief Aid Ongoing; Volunteers Continue To Help

The Tulong Villar Relief Assistance of Nacionalista Party President Senator Manny Villar is currently continuing its relief, rescue and assistance efforts for the victims of typhoon Ondoy. As of October 1, 68,372 victims have been extended help.

Food packs totalling 63, 932, have been distributed; 4,040 were rescued and 400 victims were helped in cleaning operations. Forty trucks have also been deployed to areas in need of aid and relief across Metro Manila since Saturday.

Tulong Villar Relief Assistance headquarters is situated at Vista Land Office in Worldwide Corporate Center, Shaw Boulevard, Mandaluyong City.

"Volunteers are welcome to help out in packing relief goods and loading them in transport trucks to be distributed to affected areas of typhoon Ondoy." Villar continued. "I would like to thank all volunteers and donors on behalf of the victims. Donations and supplies can be dropped off at the entrance of Star Mall EDSA. "

"The country is at a state of emergency, it is imperative that Filipinos who are able to help out SHOULD help out. Victims of the typhoon Ondoy require every bit of aid and assistance they can get. We need to give our unified effort in saving our fellow countrymen, as well as our country," said Villar.

"As shown by my recent experience, efficiency is needed in these times of calamity. Our relief and assistance group exhibits this trait with 68,372 victims receiving help since Saturday", Villar further said.
