WHO IS MOST LOVED BY FILIPINOS?

Conversely, a big number who consider his daughter, President Glorial Macapagal-Aroyo, as their "most beloved" Filipino leader most of whom would tend to vote for Sen. Manny Villar.

The Pulse Asia survey conducted from January 22 to 25 showed that 43% of those who declared their love for President Macapagal -- fondly called "Cong Dadong" who became President under the Liberal Party -- chose Noynoy Aquino as their President in 2010, while only 27% chose Villar.

Meanwhile, among those who said they love President Arroyo as a leader, 58% would vote for Villar in May 2010, and only 17% would vote for Aquino.

Former President Macapagal, wgoise political career rose on his reputation as the "Poor Man from Lubao," is considered as one of the most honest Presidents of the country who was not implicated in any anomaly during his term.

On the other hand, his daughter President Arroyo is perceived by most Filipinos, as shown in the surveys, as the most corrupt Philippine President - even worse than former President Ferdinand Marcos who succeeded her father in 1965 and ruled the country with an iron hand for more than 20 years under Martial Law.

Marcos' dictatorship ended when he was ousted from power by the peaceful EDSA 1 People Power Revolution, when Noynoy Aquino's mother, Corazon "Cory" Aquino, became President.

According to the same Pulse Asia survey, President Aquino is the "most beloved" Filipino leader by the most number of Filipinos.
