ON SC's NEW RULING ON EXECUTIVES RUNNING IN 2010 POLLS...

I completely agree with the Supreme Court's decision because it will provide a level playing field for everyone in the 2010 polls.

The decision comes in the most opportune time where abuse of political office and existing public resources is rampant and seemingly on the rise.

The SC's decision is most laudable because it protects the public coffers from the abuse of those who may use it for personal political gains, to the disadvantage of the nation and its people.

It is apparent that some cabinet officials are likely to appeal this decision but this should be taken as an opportunity to present themselves to the Filipino people as responsible candidates devoid of agenda but public service.
