MADRIGAL ON AFP AWARD TO 2 OFFICERS INVOLVED
IN MORONG 43 CASE

"The decision of the AFP to award the military officers involved in the arrest of 43 health workers in Morong is an insult to human rights victims and a clear case of arrogant conduct on the part of the AFP. The arrest of the 43 health workers is still being questioned in the Court of Appeals and is still being investigated by the Commission on Human Rights, the Red Cross and International groups. This is what happens when the military now considers themselves above civilian jurisdiction and even our own courts law."
