Baseco kids sing anew in Villar's latest TV ad

The new television ad "Hindi Bawal Mangarap" of Nacionalista Party standard-bearer Manny Villar is turning out to be as popular as his earlier successful ad "Naging Mahirap."

In both ads, the children from Baseco, Tondo, were featured singing Villar's catchy campaign jingle. But the new ad urges the poor that dreaming for a better life is not impossible.

"Ipinapakita lang ng bagong commercial at jingle na kahit mahirap ay may karapatang mangarap," Villar said.

"Hindi bawal ang mangarap. At lalong hindi imposibleng matupad ang mga pangarap na ito," he added.

Villar's camp hopes that the new TV ad, which aired just recently, would even surpass the popularity of the first campaign jingle that spread like a virus.

The political rivals of Villar have questioned his political ads and his pro-poor platform and advocacies.

But the NP standard-bearer defended his rise from poverty, asking his critics whether it is difficult to believe that someone who was poor could get rich without being corrupt.

"My campaign advertisements are not exaggerated. My television commercials are also not merely a storyboard, but my life story," Villar earlier said.

"Katulad ng mga bata sa TV commercial, ako ay nagsimulang mangarap sa Tondo kung saan ako ipinanganak at lumaki. Nangarap ako na maiahon ang pamilya ko sa kahirapan at awa ng Diyos ay natupad naman ang mga ito," said the poor boy from Tondo.

The lyrics of Villar "Hindi Bawal Mangarap:"

Ipinanganak kang mahirap

Patuloy na nangangarap

Magsipag at magtiyaga

Balang araw aahon ka

Hindi bawal mangarap

Ang mahirap

Basta't maaabot ito

Sa malinis na paraan

Si Villar ay nangarap

Kahit mahirap

At nagtiwala sa Maykapal

At may paninindigan
