Legarda encouraged by Danding Cojuangco, NPC support

"It's very reassuring and encouraging to hear that Danding Cojuangco has affirmed his and the party's support for me," NP-NPC-LDP vice presidential candidate Loren Legarda said on Wednesday, a day after hearing the news.

In a story titled "Danding Cojuangco affirms support for Legarda," Inquirer.net quoted Rep. Mark Cojuangco, son of the NPC founder, as saying: "We may not have a presidential aspirant in these elections, but the NPC has not wavered in its commitment to support Senator Legarda."

"I have never doubted my party's support for me," Legarda said. "Still it's nice to hear that the NPC founder himself said."

A day earlier, Legarda told the Inqurer.net: "I knew from the beginning that the Cojuangco family and the NPC will never waiver, and I will not let them down. I will bring the party to victory."
