KIKO PANGILINAN: BANGIT SHOULD STOP BEING GMA'S PUPPET AND SHOULD INSTEAD LISTEN TO HIS CONSCIENCE

Senator Francis "Kiko" Pangilinan today says that PGMA appointed AFP chief of staff General Delfin Bangit should step down once Senator Noynoy Aquino assumes office as the next President of the Philippines.

"We have received information that the reason why General Bangit flip-flopped on the issue of resignation and changed his mind was because he received a call from GMA who pressed him not to resign. We urge Delfin Bangit to confirm this. If this is true, then we call on GMA to end this shameless abuse of the office."

"We urge Bangit to stop being GMA's puppet. GMA has not learned from the illegal 'hello Garci' calls. Now it's 'hello Delfin'."

"Madam President, it's time to pack up your bags and go. We have had enough of your phone calls urging your people to do illegal acts. Hanggang sa huli ba naman, iligal pa rin ang mga pinag-uusapan ninyo sa telepono?"

"We call on all other GMA midnight appointees as well to refuse to do GMA's dirty work. They should stop the shameless abuse of office being foisted by GMA as appointing power by submitting their courtesy resignation come June 30. They should not be party to these midnight appointments conspiracy. Huwag maging tuta ni GMA. Tama na ang pang-aabuso at paggamit ng puwesto para sa personal at iligal na interes."
