Are the senators partly liable for Sec. Reyes's death?

I don't think we should prolong the finger-pointing among the senators, whose fault is it and so on. I'm not going to pass judgment on my fellow senators for the simple reason that we are all, under our rules, equal to each other. If I were chair I would have that privilege. This complaint should be addressed to the chair of the blue ribbon committee. Only he would have the power to, if he finds it justified, calm down the passions that fly high in this kind of a hearing. And we have seen other hearings where other senators did not treat the resource persons with civility, so why are we making an exception in this case? We have to be very careful about using a public event for some other purpose for some hidden agenda of some politicians who are involved here, people who were or are involved in politics. That is very dangerous.

Her Valentines Day advice to young people

It is very important that you should choose the person you will marry and stay with that person. There are many people now who believe in serial love, loving one person after another. I don't think that is good for our mental health. I think we should get it over with. It's like measles, you know. You only get it once in your lifetime and you are immune forever. I am very happy to say that is what happened to me. I am completely immune to any temptation. All men who have passed my life after I got married might as well have been sticks of furniture.
