Statement on the appointment of former
Congressman Ruffy Biazon as Bureau of Customs Chief

We welcome the appointment of the former congressman from Muntinlupa. He has performed well during his stint as a legislator in the Lower House. As a man of integrity, he can push for reforms in the bureau. I am confident that he will enhance the government's revenue collection by curbing smuggling activities and cleaning the ranks.

Naniniwala akong may malaking maiaambag ang ating bagong BoC chief para sa pagsasaayos at pagpapalawig ng kakayahan ng ahensiya. Maiaangat niya ang antas ng propesyunalismo rito. Umaasa tayong magsisikap at magsasagawa siya ng mga hakbang para mapaunlad ang sistema ng revenue collection sa bansa.
