SENATOR BRINGS RELIEF AND MEDICAL AID TO SENDONG VICTIMS

Senator Ramon Bong Revilla, Jr. condoles with the victims of typhoon "Sendong" in Northern Mindanao by bringing not only relief packages but also a million pesos worth of medical aid. The senator went to Cagayan de Oro last Wednesday and distributed relief packages to displaced families temporary sheltering at City Central Elementary School, Macasandig Covered Court and West Central Elementary School. He also went to Northern Mindanao Medical Center where he signed a Memorandum of Agreement with hospital chief Dr. Jose Chan for his medical assistance for the needy patients of the said region. Under our Memorandum of Agreement, the senator allocated P1 million from his Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF) as medical assistance fund.

To avail of the medical assistance, Bong Revilla explained that indigent patients of the province can go or send a representative to the Offices of Cagayan de Oro 2nd District Rep. Rufus Rodriguez, Misamis Oriental Governor Oscar Moreno and Cagayan de Oro Mayor Vicente Emano. The medical assistance will be given as a guarantee letter where the amount that the patient can avail under the program is indicated.

The lawmaker expressed further sympathy after seeing the cadavers in Cagayan de Oro City.

Bong Revilla conducted the relief operations through his Kaagapay sa Araw ng Pangangailangan relief effort program while the medical aid is under his Kalusugan Ating Pangalagaan medical assistance program.
