Statement of Sen. Teofisto Guingona III on the
appointment of Sec. Mar Roxas as DILG Secretary

I congratulate President Aquino for appointing Sec. Mar roxas as dilg secretary. There couldn't have been a worthier replacement to Jesse Robredo. Secretary Roxas espouses similar virtues and principles which include good governance and transparency in govt transactions. He has a proven track record in govt service that is needed for the position. Secretary Mar is a rare gem in public service, bringing proven leadership and competence into an important department like DILG.
