POE: END SQUANDER OF PUBLIC FUNDS, POOREST
OF THE POOR BEAR BRUNT

"I will be filing a resolution tomorrow regarding the role of NGOs in the alleged mismanagement of the PDAF or pork barrel.

"It is the poorest of the poor who feel the brunt of this breach of public trust. The PDAF belongs to the people, especially the most marginalized members of our society. As the people's representatives in government, we must put an end to the squandering of public funds in our country.

"Ang isa pa, nais ko na makaharap ang mga tunay na biktima tulad ng mga magsasaka at mangingisda na hindi naman nabigyan ng tulong, bagkus ginamit na, ninakawan pa. Tutukan natin kung magkano ang kinupit, pero dapat alamin din natin gaano kadami ang nawalan ng benepisyo at nagdusa."
