Statement of Senator Nancy Binay on Mother's Day

Today, we honor our mothers, the women who have devoted their lives for ours, toiled and worked blood and sweat so that we can eat, learn and live happy lives. Today, let us all cherish our nanays for the love they have unconditionally given us.

Notwithstanding the social, economic and cultural adversities and challenges, mothers still strive to provide food on the table, afford quality time to keep their children and families happy and contribute to nation building.

This Mother's Day, let us all take time to appreciate the effort, sacrifices and love of all single and working mothers. Let us be forever grateful for our mothers' unselfish devotion for family, country and God.
