MESSAGE OF SENATE PRESIDENT FRANKLIN M. DRILON ON THE OCCASION OF EID'L FITR

I extend my warmest wishes to all our Muslim brothers and sisters as they celebrate Eid'l Fitr.

Eid'l Fitr not only marks the completion of Ramadan, as it represents spiritual renewal and the reaffirmation of one's commitment to uphold common values such as compassion, forgiveness, sacrifice and concern for our fellowmen - especially the poor and weak.

May this sacred occasion strengthen the faith of our Muslim brothers and sisters. Moreover, may this important milestone remind us all of the immense contributions of our Muslim brothers and sisters to the Philippine economy and society, and thus, genuine peace and prosperity are for all of us to share. On behalf of the Philippine Senate, I wish you all a joyous and most meaningful Eid'l Fitr. Eid Mubarak!
