Q: On Secretary Mar Roxas's invitation to Senator Grace Poe to run as his Vice President in 2016 on national TV

SPFMD: As I said, I do not know it for a fact.

Q: Pero okay kayo doon sa tandem?

SPFMD: Certainly, but as I said, I do not know it for a fact.

Q: Hindi po ba kino-konsulta ang ibang taga-LP sa pagpili ng Vice President ni Secretary Roxas?

SPFMD: Our position is that the Vice Presidential tandem of Secretary Roxas is something that he must decide by himself, because that he or she will be the partner in running the government. So our position is his preference will be the one that will be respected.

Q: Hindi niyo ba siya tutulungan sa pagpili?

SPFMD: As I said, that will be his choice.

Q: On the Vice President Binay's criticisms of the Aquino administration

SPFMD: The difficulty of the position of the Vice President is that he was in the Cabinet for five years. It is natural that at that point, if there were disagreements between him and the President, the option of quitting the Cabinet that early because you do not see eye to eye with your President on certain issues was an option available to him.

The fact is, he stayed in the Cabinet and presumably, was supportive of the policies of President Aquino. It is difficult for him after sa haba ng panahon, sa ilang taon, bigla niyang sasabihin iyan diba? That's his difficulty.
