Marcos Exhorts Filipinos To Show Our Best As APEC Summit Host

"Let's go, Philippines!"

Senator Ferdinand "Bongbong" R. Marcos Jr. today rallied the country to show our best as we host the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC), a year-long series of economic meetings among countries around the Pacific Rim, culminating with the Economic Leaders' Meeting from November 18-19, 2015 in Manila.

"It's our time to shine! Let's showcase to the world the renowned talent and creativity of Filipinos and legendary hospitality as we host this historic event," Marcos said.

Marcos expressed confidence the Economic Leaders Meeting will leave a positive impression of the Philippines in the eyes of the world.

He noted that from the First Senior Officials' Meeting held in Clark and Zambales to the Small and Medium Enterprise ministerial meeting held in Iloilo to date, the Philippine government left no stone unturned to ensure the safe, productive and comfortable stay for our guests.

Marcos said the participation of the world's leaders in the APEC meet in Manila despite the tragic terrorist attacks in Paris indicate their strong confidence in our capability to host the event.

"We will show to the world that the Philippines is ready, that we have what it takes to be a world-class host. Let's go, Philippines!" Marcos said.
