Politically influential Team Eusebio of Pasig City endorses
Sen. Marcos for VP

After getting the support of San Juan Mayor Guia Gomez, the vice presidential bid of Senator Ferdinand "Bongbong" R. Marcos Jr. got another boost when the ruling Eusebios of Pasig City expressed their support for his candidacy last Tuesday.

"One hundred percent tayong tutulong kay VP (vice president) Bongbong Marcos. Sisiguruhin namin na 100 percent na maipapanalo namin siya dito sa Pasig City. Siya ang unang vice presidential candidate na bumaba dito sa atin," announced incumbent city councilor Ricky Eusebio during a rally for Marcos held at the covered court of Brgy. Maybunga.

Eusebio, an incumbent city councilor and running for congressman in the May 9 elections, is son of former city mayor Vicente.

Vicente's wife, Idad, had also served as mayor as well as the couple's other son, Bobby. Bobby's wife, Maribel, is the incumbent mayor of Pasig.

Marcos expressed gratitude to the Eusebios as he said the family's support is a big boost to his chances.

"Maraming salamat sa mga Eusebio na matagal na naming kasama. Maraming salamat sa inyong mainit na pagtanggap. Kapag ganyan naman kainit ang pagtanggap, aba'y nawawala ang aking pagod," he told the crowd at the rally who were cheering "Bongbong Kami!"

Before attending the rally, Marcos took his Unity Caravan on a motorcade around Pasig that traversed Brgys. Kapasigan, Pinagbuhatan, Palatiw, San Miguel, Caniogan, and Maybunga as city folk lined the sidewalks to welcome him.

Last Monday, Gomez also endorsed the candidacy of Sen. Marcos saying she believes in his competency to be the country's second top leader because of his long experience in public service and his "progressive" plans for the country.

Last week, Marcos also got the support of the opposing political forces in the so-called Solid North provinces of Abra, La Union and Pangasinan.
