LET'S ALL UNITE BEHIND PACMAN - BONGBONG MARCOS

Vice presidential candidate Senator Ferdinand "Bongbong" R. Marcos, Jr. today called on all Filipinos to unite behind Saranggani Rep. Manny Pacquiao and pray for his victory in his rubber match with American boxer Timothy Bradley.

The two pugilists will square off Sunday at the MGM Grand Casino in Las Vegas, in what could be the farewell fight of Pacquiao before hanging up his gloves.

"At least for a few hours, let us forget politics and rally together in support of our 'National Fist', Manny Pacquiao," said Marcos.

Marcos said that no matter what some people may say against Pacquaio, there can be no dispute that has brought honor and international recognition to our country throughout his remarkable career that catapulted him to the ranks of boxing greats.

"Manny rekindled our pride as Filipinos and inspired many of us to strive for excellence, even against overwhelming odds. Definitely, Manny deserves the support of the entire Filipino nation in his farewell fight," Marcos stressed.

While Pacquiao is part of the guest candidate in the senatorial line-up under the tandem of presidential candidate Sen. Miriam Santiago and Marcos, the latter said his call for support of Manny has nothing to do with politics.

"I'm just a proud Filipino supporting a fellow Filipino who has done so much for all of us, for somebody who had shown us what we can do when we are united," said Marcos.
