BONGBONG MARCOS SAYS ATTACKS AGAINST HIM
MEAN HE'S DOING SOMETHING RIGHT

SENATOR Ferdinand "Bongbong" R. Marcos Jr. today sees the positive side of the attacks against him.

"When all of your opponents are attacking you, you must be doing something right, that's how I take it," he said on the sidelines of the "Commencement Exercises 2016" of the Bulacan State University in Malolos City, Bulacan.

Marcos accompanied his presidential tandem, Senator Miriam Defensor-Santigao who was the commencement speaker.

Marcos' statement was an answer to a media question regarding the tirades of his rival, Senator Alan Peter Cayetano, during Sunday's presidential debate organized by ABS-CBN.

He also said he was not able to watch the debate because of several meetings but based on his feedback, it would seem that no new issue was raised against him. He stated that he had already answered all issues raised in the previous debate.

He also downplayed Cayetano's tirade that he was running away from the debate. "I suppose it is one of his political slogans but if you at it, the phrase is meaningless. But it is the political season," he said.

During the first vice presidential square off, a debate organized by CNN-Philippines under the auspices of the Commission on Elections which was aired live on Channel 9 last April 10, Marcos came out gracefully as he received Cayetano's mouthful with composure and decency.

Cayetano has been bashed on social media for his attitude while Marcos received praises for his calmness and proper rebuttal to Cayetano.
