Cayetano ready to serve Du30 admin "in any capacity"
Senator Alan Peter Cayetano expressed his willingness to serve the Duterte administration and help fulfill its promise of change "in any capacity" which the President deems fit.
Cayetano was in Palawan on Sunday (January 15) to attend Life Church Organization's Sunday worship at the City Coliseum. In an ambush interview following the event, he was asked by local reporters if he would accept President Rodrigo Duterte's offer for him to be the next Foreign Affairs Secretary.
The senator clarified that he is yet to accept a formal offer from the President, and stressed that right now, he remains focused on "preparing for different jobs."
He added that he plans to discuss the matter with the President in April or May. He said he would gladly accept whatever assignment he is offered by then.
"I told the President that I will help him in any capacity na tingin niya makakatulong. So by April or May, pupuntahan ko siya.
If President Duterte decides to appoint him for the cabinet post, the senator said he would be willing to help the administration achieve its goal of creating genuine reforms for the country.
"Ayokong pangunahan ang Pangulo o sinumang Secretary... I think they're all performing well... I'd be happy to help," he said.
