SEN. JV EJERCITO CONDEMNS KILLING OF UNIVERSITY PRESIDENT

I strongly condemn the senseless killing of Dr. Ricardo Rotoras, University President of University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines in Cagayan De Oro, by unknown assailants.

I have worked with Dr. Rotoras, as president of the Philippine Association of State Universities and Colleges (PASUC), for the passage of higher state subsidy for State Universities and Colleges. I am truly saddened with his untimely death as he was a great and hardworking asset for the academic community.

I call on the police to thoroughly investigate, hunt, and arrest the killers at the quickest possible time.
