Sen. Joel Villanueva's Eid al-Fitr message

We celebrate with our Muslim brothers and sisters as we observe the culmination of Ramadan, a month of fasting and introspection.

May this event serve as a reminder for everyone to continue in promoting peace, unity and goodwill among our fellow Filipinos.

The observation of Eid al-Fitr is also an opportunity to encourage us to strive harder in building a nation that is grounded on mutual respect and understanding.

Our work in the Senate has pushed us to craft a Bangsamoro Basic Law that is genuinely inclusive and will truly bring lasting peace in Mindanao.

Rest assured that we are one with you in this endeavor to see a better and prosperous future not only for our beloved Muslim brothers and sisters but also for the whole nation.
