Pangilinan to govt: Use P3.767-trillion budget to ensure food, jobs for Filipinos

The national budget for this year 2018 is 3.767 trillion pesos. Congress is again talking about next year's budget.

With that huge an amount and after two years in power, the most basic issues of food and jobs should not be the central problem. The last administration left the economy booming.

So every day, why do we have issues of 70-peso per kilo of rice, rice infected with weevils, importing formalin-laced round scad, halved prices of copra, and so many others? Where is the government?
