Aetas support Sen. JV Ejercito's reelection bid

AETA tribal groups in different parts of Luzon have endorsed the reelection bid of Senator JV "Mr. Healthcare" Ejercito.

This developed on Tuesday as the Aetas under the Bamban Aeta Tribal Association (Bata) and Philippine Katutubo Association together with different Aeta associations in Region 3, adopted a manifesto expressing gratitude and unity behind Ejercito because of his Universal Health Care (UHC) measure.

Virgilio Sanchez, Bata president, said they would definitely support Ejercito's reelection bid.

"Talagang ikakampanya namin at ibobot si Senador JV Ejercito kasi siya lang ang nagbigay sa amin ng importansiya at kasama kami sa benepisyo ng universal health (care)," he said.

Sanchez personally handed to Ejercito the manifesto on the sideline of the kick-off rally of the Hugpong Ng Pagbabago (HNP) 2019 Campaign Caravan for Senators held at the ground of Pampanga Provincial Capitol, San Fernando, Pampanga.

Under the UHC authored and sponsored by Ejercito in the Senate, all Filipinos, which means including the Aetas and other Indigenous Peoples are automatic members of the National Insurance Program and entitled to affordable quality health services including check-ups and various laboratory test or procedures.
