Dispatch from Crame No. 592:
Sen. Leila M. de Lima's Statement on Duterte's and Panelo's lying about the reason for the transfer of high-profile convicts-witnesses from Bilibid to Marines HQ

9/9/19

Sabi ni Duterte, at sinundan syempre ni Panelo: The NBP convicts-witnesses in my drug cases had to be transferred to "secure" them from me. They "feared" that they would be killed by my alleged "allies" and "henchmen" inside Bilibid, and would thus "derail the unmasking of the truth" about the Bilibid drug trade.

Liars! Despicable liars!

Linawin ko lang po nang husto ang totoong dahilan sa paglipat sa kanila.

Those convicts-witnesses had to be housed in a secluded, more controlled facility in order to "prepare" them for their impending testimony in the ongoing trial in my drug cases before the RTC-Muntinlupa. Duterte's operators -- prosecutors and non-prosecutors alike -- had to be given unlimited access, day and night, to these convicts-witnesses, so the latter can be "primed" for their RTC appearance, ensuring that they would not turn around from, or recant their previous false and perjurious testimonies in that infamous 2016 House inquiry.

The perfect place for such an operation is a military facility, such as the PH Marines HQ, with its trademark lack of transparency and strict rule of non-access by unauthorized persons other than the Duterte-authorized henchmen.

The Duterte operators had to make sure that their most valuable prosecution witnesses remain true to the deal they struck with the government during the stint of SOJ Aguirre -- the 'Destory de Lima' deal through their orchestrated lies.

How? Coerce and pressure them more. Promise them more -- GCTA, pardon, commutation of sentence and other forms of executive clemency. Bribe them more. Brainwash them more.

Various legal transgressions. Unethical practices. Prosecutorial misconduct or abuse. Downright criminal acts. All in the name of ensuring my conviction!

Such an ongoing operation would not be quite feasible within the NBP itself, a severely congested hellhole. Ingress and engress of the civilian operators to and from the convicts-witnesses would be quite obvious to the curious eyes and ears of the inmates and BuCor personnel there. You cannot afford witnesses to such an elaborate, insidious scheme. Hence, the convicts-witnesses had to be isolated for a fool-proof illegal operations.

What's next? These inmates-witnesses will most probably be killed. And they would cast the blame on me! But not now. Not yet.

You, Mr. Duterte, will have them "slaughtered" (your own words) at some future time. But they have to testify first. After that, they would be fair game to your death squads, inorder to permanently bury the truth about my innocence.

You know that I'm innocent. But you and this regime cannot allow that truth to be out there before the whole world.

PDI columnist Segundo Eclar Romero refers to my case as the "grandest 'tanim kaso' case brewed in the NBP." It's more than that. The Leila de Lima case is the grandest HOAX ever poised upon the country's judicial system.

I challenge you, Mr. Duterte, to come clean with your evil designs against me. You cannot escape your day of reckoning...
