COURTESY CALL: Senate Minority Leader Franklin M. Drilon receives a delegation from the House of Councillors of Japan led by Mr. Masahiro Ishii on Thursday, September 14, 2017. The delegation is in Manila from September 14 to 19 to attend the 38th General Assembly of the ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA). Drilon is the President of the Philippines - Japan Parliamentary Association. Last year, Drilon was conferred upon the Grand Cordon of the Order of the Rising Sun by Japan’s Emperor Akihito and Prime Minister Shinzo Abe for his contributions to promoting friendly relations and developing economic cooperation between Japan and the Philippines.
