Drilon, Hontiveros lead ribbon-cutting ceremony in Iloilo: Senate Minority Leader Franklin Drilon (4th from left) and Senator Risa Hontiveros (3rd from left) led a ribbon-cutting ceremony Saturday, July 27, 2019, to celebrate the opening of the 8.1-kilometer River Esplanade in Iloilo City. Awarded the “Best Landscape Architecture” by the National Commission for Culture and the Art’s National Committee on Architecture and the Allied Arts, the Esplanade aims to rehabilitate the Iloilo River and spur tourism and economic growth in the area.
