Villar scrutinizes DA budget: During the second hearing of the Finance Subcommittee on the proposed P71.8 billion budget of the Department of Agriculture for year 2020, Sen. Cynthia Villar reminded DA officials headed by Sec. William Dar to spend more for projects rather than overhead or operating expenses. Villar, chair of the Committee on Agriculture and Food, said spending for projects is more important because it reaches the people and helps the farmers and fisherfolks improve their productivity and increase their incomes.
