Villar recognized for efforts to help alleviate poverty: Senator Cynthia Villar received a Certification of Appreciation for her advocacies in providing jobs and livelihood in the communities during the Don Bosco National Technical and Vocational Education and Training Conference. The senator, who has gained the monicker “Misis Hanepbuhay,” believes that all forms of education, from short term trainings to tech-voc and full-fledged academic degree, significantly helps the growth of the agriculture sector. Villar has been establishing farm schools supported by the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority, saying this is one way to give access to tech-voc agri-related courses that cater to people in the countryside.
