Boosting the capabilities of Barangay Tanods: Being the “first responders,” Sen. Cynthia Villar recognizes the need to train barangay tanods on the different processes and means of conducting surveillance and keeping watch, responding to calamities and emergencies, among others. Along this line, the Villar Social Institute for Poverty Alleviation and Governance (Villar SIPAG), in partnership with the Las Pinas police, sponsored a crime prevention skills enhancement training for barangay tanods.
