KIKO PANGILINAN, LP'S BET FOR SP; VOWS AN ACTIVIST SENATE

The Liberal Party announces today that Senator Francis 'Kiko Pangilinan will be the party's bet for the senate presidency.

'I thank the party and our party president Mar Roxas for their confidence in me. I also thank Senator Frank Drilon for graciously sacrificing his own bid for the sake of party unity. We will not let them down.'

Pangilinan vows to push for legislative activism should he win the SP post, a senate that is pro-active and one that seek solutions to the nation's decades old ills.

"Should we get the support of our colleagues, I will push for a true senate of the people, one that is transparent and accessible to our countrymen. We need to be creative and dynamic in coming up with solutions to our problems. Our people want results and they want it now. We must respond with equal fervor."
