Q: On the preemptive suspension of Senator Juan Ponce Enrile

SPFMD: Yes we will implement it, we have no recourse but to implement it.

Q: Si Senator Enrile daw sabi, he was hoping that the Senate could discuss it and vote on it.

SPFMD: The decision of the Supreme Court is that the suspension becomes automatic upon motion of the prosecution, and that has been resolved as early as 2001.

Q: Wala na pong magagawa ang Senado?

SPFMD: We have no recourse.

Q: Nasabi niyo na po ba sa Sandiganbayan na naimplement niyo na yung suspension?

SPFMD: We have already filed the manifestation.

Q: Ngayon din po ba ipafile yung manifestation sa suspension ni Sen. Estrada?

SPFMD: Maybe tomorrow.

Q: Sabi po ni Senator Sotto, baka mahirapan po yung Senate Minority sa budget hearings. Baka kulang daw sila sa representation sa deliberations.

SPFMD: No that will not affect the work in the Senate. We will continue on with the work here in the Senate.
